Jelly of Death
My project is of a jelly fish holding a cigarette butt resting in a Styrofoam cup. The jelly fish is made up of a bottle cap and a popped balloon that I found while cleaning up the beach, and it demonstrates how easily these items can be mistaken as food to other animals and gobbled up. The cigarette that the jelly fish is holding represents the fact that not only is a cigarette harmful to us humans, but to the environment as well; because once a cigarette burns out, the smoker tosses it on the floor and it could end up in the digestive system of an innocent animal. The action of the jelly fish resting in the cup without a care is a portrayal of how a majority of society are ignorant of the harmful actions we humans cause to other species and Mother Nature herself.
