Hello My name is Maribel Rodriguez and I am a freshman at CSULA. I made a beautiful palm tree in the beach. It is made with water bottles. Inside of the water bottles it contains dirt with water to give it the brown trunk effect of the palm tree. For the leaves I used an old umbrella I found in a alley around my neighborhood. For the background which gives the water effect i used the wrappers of the water bottles. Palm trees are beautiful trees just like any other tree. If we did not have trees human life on earth would not even be possible. First of all is because trees produce oxygen . Secondly Trees help cleanse the air by intercepting airborne particles, reducing
heat, and absorbing such pollutants as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide,
and nitrogen dioxide. Trees remove this air pollution by lowering air
temperature, through respiration, and by retaining particulates. Another reason why trees are important is because they provide us with shade when it gets very hot.Trees do so much for our beautiful earth and so much for us We need tress and we need to start taking care of them.<3
This is the blog for Composition classes at CSULA who are cleaning the beach and making art out of trash. We are creating a digital gallery of your work, so please follow your instructor's directions and post a photo. Thank you so much for your contribution!

My name is Jesus Hernandez. I am currently a freshmen at CSULA. Above this a beautiful sky view picture of our campus. We could clearly see that it is clean and fill of nature. Many of us don't see anything wrong with this picture. But little do we all notice that Cal State L.A. is campus filled and littered by Cigarettes butts. Below is a the same exact picture of Cal State L.A. but it is just covered by all the Cigarettes Butts I only collected by walking around by our School's Library. We are a school covered by this disgusting junk. Their is obviously no one who cleans this up if i could just walk around our library for 5 minutes and collect 184 cigarettes butts. As these untaken cared off cigarettes butts could be very dangerous to the environment. Many smokers are school throw these cigaretts butts on the floor while no one is saying anything at all. Imagine our school having a reputation of being a campus filled by cigarettes butts. Now how impelling does that sound?
My name is Nicholas Butler, 17 years of age, a freshman here at CSULA. I made a heart out of bottles depicting that instead of throwing away plastic bottles we should acknowledge the idea of recycling so that we aren't wasting what we can re-use everyday. I gathered these bottles by saving up on the things I drink. For the past years growing up there wasn't a day in my life where I actually recycled period and I feel like this class project accomplishes my goal by helping my community. Everyday we waste so much. We can make a difference one by one if we all contributed into recycling and can slowly move away from global warming if we took the time to do things like this. I feel like this project can make more and more people aware and by making more people aware that can help change peoples habits. The more we make people aware then the much more we can accomplish and start heading towards a better future.

I am a CSULA student and I made this as a symbol of a hero build from trash and recycling material. this shows how the trash that people throw away in the streets could be use to create such a wonderful thing. I made this robot because it inspire me how I would create it with water bottles and a broken candle I found. and I but it all together and it was made. I like it because it shows that everyone could become a hero even trash as simple as that. it took many water bottles and a lot of water but in the end it was fun and worth it to but his little creation together. it also show me what you can do with so much material out there.
